Bringing over 20 years of teaching experience in math and special education, along with the delightful chaos of being a mom to a teenager with autism, I’ve journeyed through the highs and lows of understanding the needs of children with developmental delays. It became evident to my husband and me that the fitness world needed a sprinkle of adaptability and a dash of fun for these amazing kiddos.

So, we whipped up an adaptive fitness program like no other! Picture a blend of personalized fitness routines, catered to sensory sensitivities and motor skill challenges, all wrapped up in a bundle of giggles and high-fives. Having mastered the art of juggling individualized education plans (IEPs) in the school system, we knew it was time to shake up the wellness scene.

In 2019, I founded Elev8 Movement to provide individualized support for my clients’ health, wellness, and mobility. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients facing pain, mobility issues, and various other health conditions, such as arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, fibromyalgia, obesity, IBS, and depression, among others. Many of these clients also juggled multiple life challenges like childcare, demanding jobs, or complex family responsibilities, making self-care seem impossible.

My mission is to offer solutions, guidance, and actionable steps to help people align with their values and regain control of their lives.

My journey to becoming Dr. Steven Baptiste DPT, OCS was influenced by my career in professional sports, which ended due to injury. This experience allows me to empathize and connect with each of my patients.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I earned my B.A. in Communications from American International College, where I also played football and received All-Conference honors. Following my career-ending injuries in the Arena Football League, I pursued further education to transition from being a patient to becoming a clinician.
